Ann Hinkebein (nee Sullivan), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the age of 75. Loving wife of 56 years to Ken Hinkebein; beloved daughter of the late Myrtle E. and Howard Sullivan; devoted mother of Christina (Keith) Ernst, Jeffery (Wynn) Hinkebein and Michael (Rachael) Hinkebein; cherished MaMa of Steffany (Dillen) McAmis, Taylor Dunn and Dakotah Benson; dear sister of William G. (Barbara) Sullivan; treasured cousin of Marilyn (Don) McBurney and Sharon (Allen) Hines.
Ann dedicated over 36 years to her career as a registered nurse, demonstrating unwavering care and selflessness. Known for her generosity and warmth, people were naturally drawn to her. In her free time, Ann enjoyed visiting the zoo, especially the monkeys, as well as crafting, reading, and solving puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to family marathons, embracing the noise and chaos, and was a wonderful host who always ensured no one left her house hungry. Ann also enjoyed fishing, boating, and water skiing at the Lake of the Ozarks. She was an avid socializer who loved playing games. Ann was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Ann's name to the St. Louis Zoo or Mid America Transplant.
