Ann M. Nea

Ann M. Nea, nee Garrett, 68, of Brentwood, Missouri, born, May 23, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, was fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Nelson and Clara, nee Engelhard, Garrett.

Surviving are husband of 48 years, Scott K. Nea, a son, Scott N. (Sheryl) Nea of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, two daughters; Holly (Tim) Verweyst of Brentwood, Missouri, and Kelly (Dustin) Livengood of St. Louis, Missouri, five grandchildren; Molly Nea, Trevor and Claudia Nea, and Lola and Eleanor Livengood, a sister Joanie (Charlie) Nea, nieces, nephews, other relatives, many dear friends, and her beloved canine companion, George.

Ann was a graduate of Ursuline Academy in St. Louis, did some modeling in the 60’s, and was retired from BJC. She enjoyed baking, sewing, taking care of animals, and working to improve her home. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children and grandchildren. Ann’s life touched many people by the caring individual she was and the caring children she raised. Her greatest contribution to the world is the smile and warm feeling that anybody whom she graced with her presence left with. Generous until it hurt, nobody ever left her company empty handed or hungry. She truly was the greatest definition of what a wife, mother, and grandmother should hope to become.

Memorials are requested in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association or Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2618 S. Brentwood Blvd, Brentwood, Missouri 63144. The Family will be receiving guests an hour prior to the service.
