Anna Maria Winter

Anna Maria "Nickey" Winter (nee Nicosia), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023. Loving wife of Wayne L. Winter; beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Frances Nicosia; devoted mother of W. Steven Winter (deceased) and Jason (Pam) Winter; dear sister of Vincent (Michele) Nicosia; cherished grandmother of Sofie and Kyle Winter; and a host to many other family and friends.  

Nickey was married for 55 years to the love of her life, Wayne. She was a proud homemaker and devoted herself to their marriage and raising her two wonderful boys. She loved celebrations, hosting parties, and decorating for each holiday especially Christmas. In 2022, she hosted a French themed holiday with berets, French wine and dinner. She had a passion for flowers and hummingbirds and enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening.  

She was very active in the St. Louis Chapter of the American Liver Foundation and took pride in organizing the silent auctions at many of their events. She was a board member for the Eureka Elementary PTO and very active in the Eureka Garden Club where she served as President.  

Nickey loved life, looked for the good in everyone, and was most happy when with her boys and grandchildren. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Nickey's name to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or the Humane Society.
