Annabelle Nigus, 76, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on December 8, 2023 after a long, debilitating illness.

Annabelle married Steven Gene Nigus on November 22, 1969. They have three children, Scott Brandon, Brett Alan, and Stephanie Ann. Annabelle, Steve, and family have resided in Seaside, CA, Cedar Rapids, IA, and St. Charles, MO.
She was a very active volunteer in her children’s school systems. She served as the 1988-89 Harris School PTO president. Through the years, she also served as PTO Treasurer, Book Fair Chair, Fun Fair Chair, YMCA Chair, Bond Issue Coordinator, and as chairperson for various other fund raisers. She was a member of the 1988 School District of St. Charles Strategic Planning Committee where she was involved in district-wide school planning.
Annabelle was also quite active in the First United Methodist Church of St. Charles. She particularly enjoyed the Women’s Circle group. She served as chairperson for organizing the preparation of Back-To-School school supply packages for local disadvantaged kids.
She also was very active in the CHAMP (Citizens Helping American Military Personnel) effort in sending care packages to soldiers stationed in the Iraq War theater.
Annabelle was the nicest person you will ever meet. Her ready smile and sunny disposition were a joy to all. She never had a bad word to say about anything or anybody. She is sorely missed.
