West, Anthony Brent “Tony”, of Bridgeton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the age of 81. Loving husband of LaJuana West; beloved son of the late James and Molly West; devoted father of Timothy (Berri) West; cherished grandfather of Rhiannon West, Alan Jackson, and Shelby West; and dear brother of Joetta Riley and Ed (Joyce) West, Jr. He is preceded in death by 11 siblings.
Tony was born on December 24, 1934 in Mayfield, Kentucky. In 1955 his name was changed from A.B. West to Anthony Brent West. Tony was a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant of 37 years. He worked at McDonald Douglas for several years and then went to work for the National Guard for 34 years.
Tony was a high school graduate of Farmington High School. He attending Freed Hardman in Henderson, Tennessee and was a graduate of Columbus College, and received a dual Masters from Webster University.
He loved to bowl and bowled with the same team for over 20 years. At the age of 60 he bowled his first 300 and at the age of 61 he bowled his second 300. Tony bowled in the Senior Olympics for several years earning silver and gold medals.
Tony attended the Church of Christ in Maryland Heights, and enjoyed spending time with his church family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
