Anthony J. “Tony” LaGrotta

LaGrotta, Anthony J. 'Tony', of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the age of 86. Loving husband of the late Shirley LaGrotta; beloved son of the late Joseph and Ursla 'Mary' LaGrotta; devoted father of Joseph (Maggie) LaGrotta and Mary Ann (Scott) Wilson; cherished grandfather of Michael (Shain) and Michelle LaGrotta, and Chris, Kyle (Jessi) and Adam Wilson; treasured great-grandfather of Anthony, Vincent and Sophia LaGrotta; dear brother of Josephine 'Jo' LaGrotta. Anthony is also survived by his companion Joanie, and many other relatives and friends.
Anthony proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 2866, American Legion Post 312, Korean Vets District 9, Italia-America Bocce Club, and the 50+ Club. He was also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. The services for Anthony will be a tie optional affair.
