Antonius “Tony” Verhaeg

Verhaeg, Antonius “Tony”, of Florissant, MO, died on Monday, September 26, 2016, at the age of 71. Loving husband of the late Lily Verhaeg; beloved son of the late Peter and Maria Verhaeg; devoted father of Antoinette "Toni" Zvorak and John & Aimee Verhaeg; cherished Opa of Gabriella Verhaeg and Marissa Verhaeg, and granddog Sassy; and dear brother of Betsie Lourenssen. Tony is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings, John, Annie, Mein, and Cornelius.

Tony proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for SuperValu for over 30 years where he achieved the title of Director of IT. Tony was a devoted family man, a veracious reader and avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, who also enjoyed going out to eat and playing cards with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
