Arlene Louise (née Ketterer) Johnson, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on May 27, 2022 at the age of 62.
Arlene was born on October 10, 1959 in Belleville, Illinois to Leonard Robert Ketterer and Joan Marie (née Swedo) Ketterer. Brought up in the Catholic Church, she attended Church of the Madalene in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since relocating to the city in 2004.
As a mother, business owner, and Senior HR professional, Arlene made a special impact upon her family and community. She grew up in Missouri and graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelors in Finance in 1984. In her professional career as an internationally experienced Organizational Change Manager, she excelled at leading high-impact change initiatives, strategic planning, and performance management. Her communication abilities and extensive knowledge with cultural change enabled her to work with several Fortune 500 companies implementing plans for successful change. With over 30 years of experience in managerial consulting and implementation, she proved to be a vital resource and leader to many.
In her free time, Arlene enjoyed working in her garden, reading, and playing piano and accordion. She also enjoyed cooking and blessing all those who knew her with exquisite dishes and family recipes. Most of all, she loved spending time with her two adult children and family. She leaves behind memories filled with joy and love; she will always be known for her generosity in quality time spent with those she loved, her outpouring of affection towards neighbors and friends, and her special ability to celebrate each holiday and moment to the fullest.
Preceded in death by her mother, Arlene is survived by her father and his wife; Leonard and Elaine Judd Ketterer; daughter and son-in-law, Katiana Johnson-Arnold and Devon Arnold; her son, Alex Johnson; her stepchildren and their spouses, Joey and Katie Johnson, Rebecca and Brandon Fabich, and David and Michelle Johnson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Victoria Ketterer, Dan and Regina Ketterer, and Charles and Jill Ketterer; and her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Dan Scherer.
A Celebration of Life and mass will be held at Church of the Madalene, 3188 E 22nd Street, Tulsa, OK 74114, on Tuesday, July 12th at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Arlene’s memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
