Arnold F. Kansteiner, Jr., OD

Kansteiner, Jr., OD, Arnold F., of Troy, Missouri formerly of St. Charles, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Marjorie Louise Kansteiner; beloved son of the late Arnold F., Sr. and Myrtle Kansteiner; devoted father of Susan (Ron) Cronk, Peggy (John) Adderley, and William (Gina) Kansteiner; cherished grandfather of Lauren Cronk, Jonathan Kansteiner, Allison Kansteiner, and Shannon Adderley; and dear brother of Russel (Joyce) Kansteiner. Arnold is survived by many other relatives and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his infant brother Orland Kansteiner. Arnold proudly served his country during WWII as a commander in the Pacific Fleet. He was captain of the Naval Reserve Pistol Team who won the national championship at the National Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio in 1967. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Navy league, St. Charles Rifle and Pistol Club, and Life member of the NRA; and was also the only inductee into the St. Charles County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame for marksmanship.
