Dean Sherwood

Arnold “Dean” Sherwood, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy May Sherwood (nee Peters); cherished son of the late Guy and Ethel Sherwood.; devoted father of Doug (Kim) Sherwood, David (Stacy) Sherwood, Daughter, Nancy (Bill) Simmons; loving grandfather of Kyle (Kelsey) Sherwood, Nick Sherwood, Robbie Sherwood, Austin Sherwood, Adam (Taylor) Simmons, and Sarah Simmons; dear brother of the late Mae McGolthein, Elzada Hesselmeyer, Pearl King, Margie Mayes, Daphne Sharpe, Liz Winter, Harold Sherwood, Steve Sherwood, and Bill Sherwood. Dean is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dean was born on April 4, 1926 in Shelbina, MO, a small farming community. His love of farm life, outdoors, and animals remained with Dean his entire life. Dean proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for McDonnell Douglas as a manager of duplicating retiring after 40 years of service. He loved family get togethers, birthday parties, singing, playing music and sweets. He has left behind many fond and funny memories.
