Arthur Ted Powell

Arthur Ted Powell, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the age of 91. Ted was a very devoted husband of Bonnie A. Powell for nearly 67 years; beloved son of the late Arthur LeRoy and Gladys Powell; loving father of Kevin Ted Powell; cherished grandfather of Nicole Powell and Christopher (Kristen) Simpson; treasured great-grandfather of Cayden Gauntt, Madison Gauntt, Blake Simpson, Drew Simpson, and Kyle Simpson; beloved uncle and friend. Ted is also preceded in death by his brother, Rex and his sister, Betty.

Ted proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Gateway Nazarene Church in Bridgeton, Missouri. Ted was also a Shiner in Moolah Lodge in Kansas City, Missouri. Ted worked for the Liberty Loan Association where he was a trainer and in public relations. Ted was very interested in politics. He liked working the polls, serving as a lobbyist, and even ran for state representative at one time.

Family meant everything to Ted. He especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. For many years Ted was a scout master for his son's scout troop. He enjoyed visiting with everyone, one would say he never meeting a stranger. Ted was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
