Pickel, Audrey, of Bridgeton, Missouri (formerly of St. Peters, Missouri), died on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the age of 87. Dearest wife of the late Russell Pickel; devoted mother of Barbara Smith and Sharon Gaffney; dear grandmother of Kenny, Shelley, Kelley and Jennifer; dear great grandmother of Drew, Cody, Kyla, Gracie, Ty, Will, Brooke, Justin and Kacy; dear mother-in-law of the late Howard Smith; dear sister of John Thornton, Marilyn (Leo) Steinbrecher and Gerene (Arthur) Althage. She was our dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Mary Thornton, sister Betty McHugh; brother-in-law, Mac McHugh and sister-in-law, Thelma Thornton.
