August E. Henke

HENKE, August E., Lake St. Louis, MO, October 18, 2006 age 83; dearest husband of Frances Henke (nee: Merrill); dear father of Carl (Judy), John (Donna Rae), James (Darlene) and Jean Henke, Carol (Paul) Craig, Elizabeth (John) Campbell, Ashley (Mike) Toalson; beloved grandfather of Ginger, Jennifer, Jessica, David, Nicholas, Jason, Stephen, Jacqueline, Kelsey, Rachael, Ian, Harrison, Dawson & Quentin; great-grandfather of Justin, Madison & Austin; dear brother of Evelyn (Henry) Hartman; preceded in death by his parents August H. and Frances (nee: Grab) Henke; and four brothers, Carl, Wyman, Floyd and Oscar Henke. Mr. Henke proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was founder of Air Flite Flying Service and was active in general aviation. He was the Director of Aviation for Anheuser Busch until his retirement in 1985. In retirement he enjoyed many years of boating on the Mississippi and was an active member of the Duck Club Yacht Club of St. Charles County.
