August Gus S. Litteken

Mr. Litteken died Saturday August 25, 2001 at his home in St. Charles. He was born February 29, 1915 to Stephen and Katharine Litteken in St. Charles, Missouri. He was retired from Laclede Gas Company where he worked for 15 years. Prior to working for Laclede he worked for 25 years at St. Charles Gas Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cottleville, Missouri and a member of the Men's Sodality there. He was a member of the Cottleville volunteer fire department and of Ballast Pits Hunting and Fishing Club of St. Charles. Mr. Litteken is survived by his wife, Cyrilla, his children, Elaine F. Fixin (Rufus), Eilleen C. Stoll (Wilford), Edward G. Litteken, James J. Litteken, Sr. Clare Ann Litteken, Leroy A. Litteken (Glenda), Cyrilla M. Sommer (Leo), Rita R. Lesley (Terry), and Kathleen Carapella (Mike), 29 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by all of his siblings, George, John, Joseph, Frank, William, Steve, and Theodore Litteken, Frances Huster, Wilhelmina Tipp, Mary Dorais, Sophie Hollrah, Christine Finlay, and Catherine Ermeling. The family has requested that memorials be made to masses or SSM Hospice.
