Bailey J. Tucker, a Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class in the United States Navy died unexpectedly at the age of 21 as one of five crewmembers in a helicopter crash off the shore of San Diego on 31 AUG 2021. Search and rescue commenced for three days with death being pronounced on 3 SEP 2021.
Bailey is survived by his parents, Jay and Jill Culpepper, his sisters Abigail, Olivia, and Josephine Culpepper, his grandparents Del and Mary Tucker, grandparents Joseph and Mary-Beth Culpepper, uncle, Chris (Jennifer) Tucker, and cousins Dax, Isaiah, and Eli.
Bailey was born in Saint Louis, MO on December 22nd, 1999. He graduated high school at Parkway North High School in Maryland Heights, MO in 2018. He moved with his parents to Florida in early 2019, and spent time working and deciding where to put his talents. He made the decision to serve in a capacity larger than himself, and decided to pursue a career in the United States Navy. Upon graduation from basic training, Bailey continued through Medical Corpsman Advanced Technical Field Training and continued into the Search and Rescue Tech Medical Pipeline.
Bailey was a devoted son, brother, grandson, and nephew. He enjoyed wrestling, swimming, art, and making people laugh. He was also a thinker who continued to strive towards greatness. Bailey walked his own path and molded the lessons and values instilled to him, making them his own. It was impressive to watch him grow and excel in his new endeavors of the USN. Though Bailey's time was cut short, he will forever have a tremendous impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. It is with great pride we celebrate our Son's life, and he will be forever missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bailey's name to the
