Barbara Ann Klamm (nee Johnson), 78, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly March 3, 2020, at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, St. Charles, MO. Barbara was born August 9, 1941 in Holton, KS to Paul Eugene Johnson and Frances Josephine Baker. Barbara grew up in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1959. After graduation, Barbara went to work at Wyandotte High School as secretary to the Principle.  She married Robert Leroy "Bob" Klamm on August 7, 1960 in Kansas City, KS. Immediately after marriage, Barbara and Bob moved to Manchester, Connecticut, to pursue Bob’s career in engineering at Pratt and Whitney Company.

In 1961, Robert Scott Klamm was born. Barbara and Bob missed their life in the Midwest, so they moved back in 1962 and settled in St. Charles, MO on five acres. Bob went to work for McDonald Douglas and Emerson Electronics and later created his own business, Precision Nameplate Company. Eric Christopher Klamm was born in 1966 and Michael David Klamm in 1971. Barbara was a stay-at-home mom. In the mid 1970’s she went back to work as an Event Planner for McDonald Douglas and later joined The May Company (Venture and Earth City) as a secretary. Barbara retired in 1995. They continued to enjoy their five acres that include gardening and horses. In 2005, Barbara and Bob decided to downsize and sold their beloved property and moved to Lake Saint Louis, MO.  In 2009, due to Bob’s illness, they moved to St. Peters, MO to be with their son. Bob passed in 2010 and Barbara continued to stay in St. Peters until January 2020 when she moved to assisted living.

Barbara enjoyed bowling and going to the casino. Her favorite trip was the annual trip to Las Vegas with mother and sister to celebrate birthdays. Her last trip was in 2015. Barbara was an exceptional friend, daughter, sister, wife, and mom who was open minded and non-judgement and was a great example to her family and everyone who knew her.
