Barbara Jean Baumgarth

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Baumgarth (10/18/1943 – 07/04/2023). Dear wife of the late Ronald R. Baumgarth; dear mother of Doug Baumgarth, Jeff (Michelle) Baumgarth and Matt (Fujiao) Baumgarth; fondly known as Grammy to Christian Baumgarth, William Baumgarth, Casey Baumgarth, Kelly Baumgarth, Cooper Baumgarth, Brady Yang, Kaia Baumgarth and Lukas Baumgarth.  Born October 18, 1943, to the late Robert (Hassel) Cochran, in St. Louis, MO; dear sister to Shirley (Don) St. George, the late Alice (Mel) Ryals, the late Jo Ann (Bob) Peplaw and Ree Baumgarth; dear sister-in-law to Rick Baumgarth, Diann (Bill) Wichman, Donna Clark  and Randy (Jamie) Baumgarth; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.  An active volunteer with Beta Sigma Chi along with many church missions and she will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral service to be held Friday July 14, 2023, at 12:00 noon, at Baue Funeral Home, Cave Springs, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior of the funeral. Burial will be attended by the family privately at the Friedens Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (Formerly St. Louis College of Pharmacy) to the Wilbert K. Baumgarth ’42 Family Scholarship or to the American Heart Association.
