Barbara Bethel

Barbara Jean Bethel (nee Benck), of Winfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 64. Beloved wife of David Hartford Bethel; cherished daughter of Verlene Clarice Benck and the late Wayne Benck. Devoted mother Christopher J Gresham, Stephen L (Amanda) Gresham, Joseph Rivers (Sarah) Bethel, Brett Bethel, and Nickolas Bethel; loving grandmother of Elijah J. Shelby, Chloe M. Shelby, and Charlie J. Gresham; dear sister of Betty (Richard) Dakovich, Kenneth (Lorna) Benck, Eugene (Andrea) Benck, Kaylene Nielsen, and the late Dennis W. Benck.

Barbara was an active member of both the Moose Club and the Missouri Nursing Association, deeply passionate about her nursing career and the care she provided to her patients. She had a love for cooking and baking, always bringing warmth to the kitchen. Barbara also cherished the outdoors, enjoying activities like boating and fishing. She had a special appreciation for nature, especially plants and wildlife, with a particular fondness for birds—hummingbirds and bluebirds were her favorites. Her favorite color was purple, a reflection of her vibrant spirit. Barbara was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
