Barbara Geer

Barbara Ann Geer of Willow Springs, MO, passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, October 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Matt” Geer; her sons, Johnnie, Danny, and Roland Geer; and her parents, Austin “Jack” Bates and Carol Gudim.

Barbara is survived by her children, Sylvia (Dan) Danzo, Robbie (Mark Super) Geer, Carolyn (Jim) Goff, Michael Geer, Nancy Lester, and Steven (Jeanie) Geer; her fourteen grandchildren; and her many great-grandchildren. Many people called her “mom” because she had more than enough love to share with everyone.

Faith was always very important to Barbara and she treasured the deep religious connection she felt every day. Barbara loved the quiet peace of farm life and riding horses. She enjoyed the simple things in life – cookies, yodeling, singing, dancing, coffee, and preparing and sharing meals with her family who loved her cooking. She was a vibrant, kind woman who dearly loved to laugh, throw parties with her children, and “be silly.” Her children and grandchildren were always in the most special part of Barbara’s heart and it brought her great joy to take care of them. Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
