Barbara Ellen Gilbreath

Barbara Ellen Gilbreath (nee Leuschner), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 82. Loving wife of the late William Marlin Gilbreath. Cherished daughter of the late Ruth and Arthur Leuschner, Sr.; devoted mother of Betsy Gilbreath and Belinda Gilbreath and adopted mother of Jennifer McKinney and Matthew McKinney; loving grandmother of Kayla (Tim Price) Gilbreath, Christina Gilbreath, Tyler Nichols, and William Franklin (son of Jason Franklin); treasured great grandmother of Kadinz McCormack and Amara Price; dear sister of the late Arthur Leuschner; and cousin of Pamela (Chris) Johnson.

Barbara was a devout member of Ridge Crest Baptist Church and Bogey Hills Baptist Church, where her strong faith and love for her community were evident. She was passionate about gardening and had a deep love for animals as she cherished hummingbirds, cardinals, and especially dogs. A talented seamstress, Barbara often shared her skills with her family, showing them how to sew on buttons. She was incredibly giving, always caring for her loved ones, and generously contributing to charity and her church. Barbara was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Barbara's name to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
