Barbara Jean Regna, of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 73. Loving wife of 49 years to Paul M. Regna; beloved daughter of the late Lloyd Thomas and Mary Jean McCann; dearest sister of Donald (Barbara) McCann; sister-in-law of Phyllis McCann, Laura Linebach, Sue Tessereau, Mary (Denny) Christopher, and Madalyn Regna; cherished aunt of Megan McCann, Dan (Sara) Irwin, and Paul (Lauren) Irwin; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas McCann, Gregg McCann, Robert McCann; and nephew, Joseph Myers.
Barb had a great passion for dogs, and she fostered 77 of them from the Humane Society, Angel Acres, Stray Paws Rescue and Hope 4 Paws. She was also on the task force for the St. Louis Humane Society for animal abuse. With her caring nature, Barb also liked tutoring kids through Oasis, which she did for many years.
Barb loved to read and would finish at least one book a day. She looked forward to getting her books from Barnes & Noble every week, where they knew her by name. She was also a proofreader for Avanti Owners Association International Magazine.
Some of Barb’s hobbies included crafting and collecting quilts. She was a great cook, when she chose to create a meal. However, she really preferred going out to eat, and then stopping by the bakery on the way home.
Barb had a fun-loving nature about her, and she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
