Barbara L. Pollitt

Barbara L. Pollitt of O Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday, February 27, 2020. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence “Chip” Keeney; her parents, David and Earline Cerny; and her brother, John “Jack” Cerny.

Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty years, Jerry Pollitt; her children, Bridget Pearl,  Jeff (Christine Mastroianni) Pollitt and Ann (Eric) Urban; her grandchildren, Lucy (Ron) Kuester, Jessica, Olan Polston, Alison (Hunter) Polston, Bobbie Polston, Hannah Polston, Evan Pollitt, Emma Pollitt, Lauren Mastroianni, Alex Mastroianni, Ian Mastroianni, Tony Urban, Mallory Urban; her great-grandchildren, Auggie, Ginny, Lucca, and Mia; and her sister, Meg (Dave) Clasby.

Barb would be described by not only her children, but family and friends as their number one cheerleader, true listener, advisor and great conversationalist. She had the sort of caring and supportive personality that touched many lives. She enjoyed crafting, painting, gardening, and supporting her family through their many activities. Barb supported her husband Jerry through the VFW and she was a very proud mother who cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who always held a special place in her heart. Family was the cornerstone of Barb’s life and her supportive, nurturing presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
