Barbara Mary “Bobbie” Goodman, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the age of 82. Beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Anne Aldrich; devoted mother of Robert (Luis Matos-Boneta) Goodman, Kenneth (Christine) Goodman, Thomas (Amy) Goodman, John (Teresa) Goodman, and Joseph Goodman; cherished grandmother of Jacob (Madalyne Frank) Goodman, Jennifer (James) Spink, Joshua (Katie Gough) Goodman, Thomas Miles Goodman, Megan Goodman, Lily Goodman, Drew Goodman, Nathan Goodman, and Eleanor Goodman; treasured great-grandmother of Kennedy Spink, Olivia Spink, Theodore Goodman, and Isaiah Goodman; dear sister of Patricia (Olan) Heape; dearest aunt of Tina (Denny) Nuske, Barbara (Tom) Preuss, and Valerie Hamilton; Bobbie is also survived by her former husband and father of her sons, Robert Goodman, Sr.
Bobbie was an entrepreneur who created her own telemarketing business, which was very successful. Before she ventured out to build her business, she was a wonderful homemaker and took great care of her family. She was a great cook and truly enjoyed the holidays, and everyone looked forward to her Christmas fudge. Bobbie also loved playing various games, like charades and Catch Phrase.
Bobbie was a room mother at her kids’ school and a den mother for Cub Scouts. She loved spending time with her sons, and she made sure to schedule her regular visits with them weekly. She also cherished spending time with her grandkids.
Bobbie enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her former husband, Bob and really looked forward to visiting Florida with her son, Rob, and going to Fort Lauderdale. In her younger years, she was very athletic and liked to go swimming and play sports.
Bobbie also looked forward to her Friday night dinners with her friends, Steve and Diana. She was legendary for falling asleep at the movies. She was also a very competitive Scrabble player and enjoyed playing Words With Friends.
As a dedicated voter, Bobbie made sure she got her vote in for Biden before she passed away. She had a good sense of humor and could light up the room with her smile. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bobbie's name to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
