Ben J. Liszewski Jr.

Ben J. Liszewski, of French Village, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 77.  Beloved son of the late Wanda and Benjamin J. Liszewski, Sr., dearest brother of Stanley (Mary) Liszewski, Mary (Ed) Baniak, Joseph (Laura) Liszewski, Ann Carl, and the late Theresa McCarty; dear uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Ben proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 – 1965, as well as two additional years in the Navy Reserves.  He retired from Riverview School District after more than 20 years as a maintenance engineer.

Upon retirement, Ben liked going to flea markets to sell various items, such as tables, coolers, and different knick-knacks.  He also liked checking out other vendors and finding special treasures from the Civil War.  He loved watching war movies and learning about history. Ben had the great experience of going around the country on different trips with his nephew Lance and Lance's wife Michelle. Together. they all made great memories touring numerous states and visiting the country's great landmarks like Mount Rushmore.

Ben enjoyed being outdoors, and he looked forward to summertime when he could go swimming.  He was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Blues play.  He also found the value in smoking a good cigar.  In his younger years, he liked to play baseball, and he was also a BoyScout and earned more than 25 patches for his achievements.

Most of all, Ben loved visiting his family and spending time with them.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
