''Ben'''', St. Charles, MO, August 20, 2006 age 70; dearest husband of Lyn Williams; son of the late Ralph and Alberta Williams; devoted father of Debi (Keith) Pickler, Dave (Donna) Williams, Craig (Terri) Thomas, Pam (John) Lowrie, Cathy Thomas and Chris (Terri) Thomas; beloved grandfather of Travis, Jessi, Taylor, Jake, Dylan, Kali, Courtney, Sierra, Emily, Phoenix, Alison, Justin and Charlie. He is also survived by extended family and many friends. Ben was a 1958 graduate of Penn State University on an athletic scholarship. He played football for 4 years under Joe Paterno. Ben also served in the US Army and retired from U.S. Steel after 30 years of service. He then represented Geneva Steel for 10 years. Most recently he owned/operated Missouri Valley Metals. Ben was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ellisville. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed racquetball, running and boating.
