Benjamin Lee Smedley, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the age of 62. Beloved husband of the late Nanette Smedley; cherished son of the late Winfred J. Sr. and Frances Louise Smedley. Devoted father of Jeremy Benjamin (Rebecca) Smedley and Aron Tyler (Samantha) Smedley; loving grandfather of Dillon Smedley; dear brother of Vickie Scott, Reta Ostler, Kenneth (Jackie) Smedley, Winfred J. Smedley Jr. Preceded in death by brother, John Stanley Smedley and sister, Janet Lynn Dade.

At the time of his death, he was director of engineering at the Double Tree Hotel in Chesterfield. Prior to that, he oversaw operations at Hilton at the Ballpark. His journey in the hospitality sector commenced in 1988. His devotion to his family was unwavering, particularly his profound affection for his wife. He was a proud father of his two sons. Being a grandfather held significant importance in his life. Known as a problem-solver, he readily tackled any challenge, be it technical or personal, that came his way. Ben was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
