Bernice Burckhardt

Burckhardt, Bernice, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Andrew F. Burckhardt and dear daughter of the late Clemment and Mary Ann Lammert. Devoted mother of Cynthia King, Teresa (John) Carey, Andrea (Paul) Burckhardt-Brown, Thomas Burckhardt, and Stephen (Katie) Burckhardt, cherished grandmother of 18, and great-grandmother of 29. Dearest sister-in-law of Margie Lammert and a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra E. Oelklaus and Starlita A. Burckhardt, her great-granddaughter Abbigail Marie Martin, and her siblings Eleanor Boschert, Vincent Lammert, Ralph Lammert, Aloysius Lammert, Corrine Lammert, Edward Lammert, and Charles Lammert. Bernice was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and Daughters of Isabelle at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Some of her passions in life were sewing, crafts, and gardening; but her greatest passion was her family. Memorials may be made to masses at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the American Cancer Society, or the Arthritis Foundation.
