Bernice E. Phillips

Phillips, Bernice E. (nee: Nolle) of St. Charles, MO, died on January 4, 2016, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Marlin T. Phillips; dear daughter of John and Lenora Nolle; devoted mother of Robert (Tina) Phillips, Linda (Jerry) Martin, Thomas (Deborah) Phillips, Marlin (Linda) Phillips, and Samuel (Patricia) Phillips; cherished grandmother of Steven Phillips, Kelli Phillips, Marlinda Ireland, Stephanie (Tim) Wolfe, Michelle (Donovan) Hannon, Christopher Phillips, Karri Phillips,Shana (Jeff) Welborn, Amy (Matt) Reid, Matthew Phillips, and the late Cynthia Lenora Phillips; treasured great-grandmother of Trevor, Logan, Sean, Travis, Justice, Caitlyn, Cynthia, Logan, Maddox, Benjamin, Caleb, Jacob, Tyler, and Landon; dear sister of John (the late Ethel) Nolle. She was a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Bernice was a lifelong member of VFW Auxiliary 2866. She was an active member of Friedens United Church of Christ, where she assisted her daughter as a teacher’s aide for Sunday School and was known to many as “Grandma Phillips.” She loved to crochet and work puzzles. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Most of all, Bernice she loved being with her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
