Bernice F. Rakers

Bernice F. Rakers of Cottleville, MO, passed away at the age of 91 on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Aloyius Rakers; her daughter, Terry Susan Eberhardt; her parents, Lawrence and Agnes Nering; her great-grandchild; and two brothers and one sister.
Bernice is survived by her sons, Lawrence T. McWhorter, Patrick McWhorter, and Roger (Jana) Rakers; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; four sisters; and her special friend, Debbie Sommers.
Bernice was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society and the Florissant Valley Camper Club where she made many precious friends and memories over the years. She had a true passion for travel and loved to travel to visit friends or to see the world. Camping in the RV in particular during her travels was something she always looked forward to. Watching old films was a favorite pastime of Bernice’s. Bernice was a talented sewer and she enjoyed making wedding dresses, suits, curtains, and other fine creations for others to enjoy.
