Bernice H. Schulte-Watson (nee Blechle), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of her late first husband, Erwin Schulte and second late husband, Jerry Watson; cherished daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice Blechle. Devoted mother of Michael G. (Char) Schulte, Jim D. (Laurie) Schulte, and the late William "Bill" Schulte; step-mother of Vance Watson and Amanda (Russ) Lindsay; loving grandmother of Cory, B.J., Dan, Kelsey, Tony, Doug, Blake, Beau, Louis, Ricky, and Adam; step-grandchildren, Carleigh, Logan, and Aiden; treasured great-grandmother of Tori, Olivia, August, Max, Grace, William, Winston, Maeve, Jackson, Conner, and Carson; dear sister of Mary Lou (Frank) Ilgenfritz, James (Sheila) Blechle, Alice (the late Less) Guiffrida, Donald Blechle, and the late Betty Ann (the late Clarence) Sitzer; sister-in-law of Betty (wife of the late Donald) Blechle, Herbert (Dottie) Schulte, Jerry (Melissa) Schulte, Selma (the late Donald) Boschert, and the late Robert (the late Carol) Schulte; aunt, Mary Ann Handing; beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Bernice was an Auxiliary Member of O'Fallon Knights of Columbus. Bernice was a Graduate of Assumption High School. After Graduation she worked for her Father in the Food Industry for many years. After her Father retired, she began working for Burkemper's Restaurant. In later years she ran the Wentzville and O'Fallon Senior Centers for over 20 years. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and being active with the Knights of Columbus in O'Fallon. Bernice was devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed her time with her Grandchildren never missing a birthday or activity. Bernice was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Bernice's name to Donor's Choice.
