McVay, Bertha L. (nee Avery), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Albion "Mac" S. McVay; beloved daughter of the late Charles and Arvilla Avery; devoted mother of Gary L. (Winnie) McVay and Ronald McVay. Cherished grandmother of Mary Beth Hudak, and John McVay; treasured great-grandmother and dear great-great-grandmother. Bertha is preceded in death by her three sisters and brother.
Bertha enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening and loved doing it until the age of 92. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
