St. Charles

Betsy Lynn Murray (nee Miller), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Maj. Gerald W. Murray; cherished daughter of the late Ennis and Betty Miller. Devoted mother of Patrick (Jennifer) Murray; loving grandmother of Issac, Audrey, and Claire Murray.

Besty grew up on a farm in Godfrey, IL, and graduated from Alton High School. She was a member of the Alton Ski Club where she met her husband. Betsy studied and worked as a dental hygienist while her husband was in the Air Force in Vietnam. She got to travel and live in Europe during his service, and they lived in many places across Europe and the US. They settled in St. Charles in the 1990s and she worked for Dr. Kornblum's practice in St. Charles for many years until she retired. Betsy has missed her husband dearly since his passing 1994 and is happily reunited with him in heaven. She was very active and enjoyed synchronized swimming and was an excellent cook. Betsy cherished dogs, having owned 6 throughout her life. She was also a very proud cancer survivor. Betsy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
