Bettie M. Meyers

Bettie M. Meyers (nee Johnson), passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 99. Loving wife of the late Raymond C. Meyers, Sr.; beloved daughter of the late Oscar and Hildur Johnson; devoted mother of Jackie (Tom) Schmersahl, and Raymond (Tonya) Meyers, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Jenna (Tony) Martucci, Trisha Schmersahl, Justin Meyers, and Dr. Andrew Meyers; treasured great-grandmother of Alex, Christopher, and Addison Martucci; and dear sister of Maureen Archibald. Bettie is also preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Wilson, Joyce Neaman, and Milton Johnson.

Bettie liked to stay active and she loved to play tennis and dance. She also enjoyed playing bridge and bingo. Bettie could always be counted on to be in a good mood, and she was gifted with a wonderful sense of humor. She was never known to complain, and she had the ability to put a smile on anyone’s face. Bettie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bettie's honor to the American Cancer Society.
