Betty Atteberry

Betty Jean "Jeanie" Atteberry (nee Betty Jean Cone), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Howard Dennis Atteberry; cherished daughter of the late Connie Wilbur and Minnie Pauline Cone. Devoted mother of Dru Atteberry; loving grandmother of Liam Slade; dear sister of Joann (Richard) Adams, and Kay (Phil Decker) Severson; sister-in-law, Sondra (Mick) Cooprider.

Jeanie was a physical education teacher and trained cheerleaders in Steger, Illinois. Jeanie married the love of her life on April 5, 1969 in Kirksville, MO. They wer married for 54 loving years. In 1970, she and Denny moved to the St. Louis area where she taught special needs children for over 15 years. Jeanie loved flowers and plants of all kinds and tending to them. She also enjoyed antiquing, crafting, and collecting pictures. Jeanie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Jeanie's name to Shriners' Childrens Hospital.
