Betty Fay Hoffmeister

Betty Fay Hoffmeister (nee Vancil), of St. Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Chester R. Hoffmeister; cherished daughter of the late Virgil and Elsie Vancil. Devoted mother of Teresa (Ron) Doerr and Boyd (Cynthia) Hoffmeister; loving grandmother of Nathan Hoffmeister and Ethan Hoffmeister; grand-dog, Daisy; dear sister of the late Kenneth Vancil, the late Ellsworth "Boz" Vancil, and the late JD Vancil, Wanda Vancil and sister-in-law Addie Vancil; many nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nephews, cousins, and friends. Betty was a very dedicated member of Grace Chapel Lutheran Church for 58 years, where she worked and volunteered at Grace Chapel Lutheran School for 47 years. She touched the lives of countless students and faculty through the meals she prepared. She was very active and went to Curves 5 days a week. She loved baking and was well known for her pies. Betty enjoyed sipping on wine and having dinners with her family. She was very family orientated and loved watching her children's sporting events with her husband Chet, never missing a game. Betty was always willing to help any and everyone. Betty was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Betty's name to Grace Chapel Lutheran Church.
