Betty M. Mensio-Trendle

Betty M. Mensio-Trendle (nee Gagliano), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 88. Cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Gagliano; Devoted mother of Dan (Karen) Mensio, Ken (Micki) Mensio, the late Beverly Thornton and the late Barbara Mensio; loving grandmother of Jimmy (Katie) Mensio, Jennifer (Ernie) Burchfield, Erin (Josh) Mueller, Gina Glackin and Corey (Brittnie) Glackin; treasured great-grandmother of Jamie Mensio, JoJo Mensio, Mason Mensio, Gianna Burchfield, Abrion Burchfield, Mark Mueller, Luke Mueller, Shayde Glackin,Tessa Glackin, Sadie Glackin and Olivia Glackin; dear sister of Josephine (David) Fredericks, Luci (Richard) Faria, Jack Gagliano, Frank Gagliano, Pamela (Charles) Drake, Debbie Suchomski, the late Mickey Gagliano, the late Mike Gagliano, the late Anthony Gagliano, the late Joseph Gagliano, the late Vicki Hartmann, and the late Marie “Ree Ree” Young.

Betty worked at CPI for over 40 years in Management, in charge of 14 employees and later planning events. She served on the Dames Villa Park Board for over 17 years. She arranged for smoke alarm batteries to be replaced each year, coordinated calling and meeting new residents, organized the Christmas party, called in the number of people for the monthly breakfast, prayed for anyone who was in distress, and always had a bit of chocolate or candy to pass out. She was well known for your excellence in the kitchen and loved doing it. Her greatest joy was being around friends and family, visiting and playing games. She will be missed by all.

She was a member of Assumption Church of Blessed Virgin Mary and did volunteer work for MS in the memory of her late daughter, Beverly.

Betty was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
