Betty Vogel

Betty Vogel (nee Smith), age 70, of Weldon Springs, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Beloved wife of 52 wonderful years to Ron Vogel; cherished daughter of the late John and Maude Smith; devoted mother of Margaret (David) Hemsath; loving grandmother of Michael (Marjorie) Vogel; and dear sister of Mel Smith, Don Smith, Barb Creasy, Sally Grimes, Rose McCourt, and Judy Jones; treasured sister-in-law of Bob Vogel, Jim Vogel, Julie Trower, Joe Vogel, and John Vogel; and dear step sister-in-law of Nancy Bishop, Mary Kay Metz, and Sue Fluchel. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Smith, Charles Smith, Alma Smith, Ted Smith, Robert Smith, and Dorothy Whitlock.

Betty was an avid collector of Betty Boop memorabilia, and she also enjoyed crocheting, and liked going camping. She will be remembered for her funny, lively personality, and for her kindness and willingness to help others. She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Betty was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
