Beverly Jean Dotson

Beverly Jean Dotson was born September 17, 1931, and passed away peacefully on July 12, 2022 at the age of 90.  She wasn't perfect, but she navigated the chaos with grace.  She was a trend-setter in many ways--often a single, working mother at a time in our nation's history when that was not common.  She worked hard and enjoyed a long career supporting American's space program at the Johnson Space Center. 

She joined her daughters Debbie Saunders, Dottie Dadds, and Susan Lundy; her parents Ralph Henry Younger & Dorothy Bernice Younger; her first husband Charles Saunders, her second husband Theodore Bendgen, and her third husband Leonard Dotson in their eternal rest.  She is survived by her last daughter, Lisa Stephens, and her grandsons Justin Muenks, Tommy Dadds, and Rusty Dadds. 
 
She will be missed and remembered by many who, while not related by blood, nevertheless considered her family.  Her ashes will be combined with Leonard's and their beloved dogs Sara and Sam and placed for final rest per her request.  There will not be a ceremony.  If you wish to honor Beverly, please make a donation in her name to a local Domestic Abuse program in honor of Debbie, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in honor of Dottie, or the Trauma Research Foundation in honor of Susan and in recognition of Lisa.
