Beverly J. Baker

Beverly J. Baker (nee: Swan) of Wentzville, Missouri, passed Monday, February 19, 2018, at the age of 81.  Loving wife of the late Kenneth Bruce Baker; beloved daughter of the late Edward and Bertha Swan; devoted mother of Steven (Natalie) Baker, Nancy Baker, and the late Bruce Orville Baker; cherished grandmother of Stephen Baker, William (Lisa) Baker, Valerie Baker, Aubry Baker, Kevin, Rochelle, and Russell; treasured great-grandmother of Gwendolyn, Benjamin, Charlotte, Drake, and Piper; and dear sister of Forrest Swan and Shirley (Don) Gibbons.

Beverly was also preceded in death by her siblings, Hurley Swan, Bob Swan, Clifton Swan, Chester Swan, Iva Swan, Verda Swan, Hazel Hathcock, Vivian Acre, and Evelyn Swan.

Beverly loved her family and had a happy marriage and a happy family life with her children. She encouraged her children to be imaginative and innovative, which helped them flourish as they grew and passed along the same traits to the grandchildren.  She enjoyed staying active, exercising when she could, and staying fit with Jack LaLanne.

As a true “Coffee Hound,” Beverly loved indulging in coffee.  She often listened to twangy country music and could be found singing along with Lefty Frizzell.  She also enjoyed watching her “daytime stories” in the afternoons before her children came home from school.  Beverly was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
