Bowers, age 76, of St. Charles Missouri died September 6, 2001 at Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital. He is survived by his wife Reba Bowers of St. Peters MO, a daughter Patty Clark of St. Peters MO, a son Billy Bowers of Kissimmee FL, a brother Bob Bowers of Englewood CO, a sister Clara Sue Gaines of San Antonio TX, a cousin Betty Lombardo of Phoenix AZ, his mother Hilda Bowers of Littleton CO and four grandchildren. Mr. Bowers was a charter member of Mid Rivers Baptist Chapel and a former member of the Third Baptist Church of St. Louis and Overland Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from December 1943 to May 1946. SAFELY HOME I am home in heaven, dear ones, oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand; do it now, while life remaineth - you shall rest in God's own land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; oh, the rapture of that meeting, oh, the joy to see you come!
