Billy J. Stalnaker, of Ballwin, Missouri went home to be with his Savior and wife of 72 years Juanita R. Stalnaker on September 16, 2021. He is survived by his children Greg Stalnaker (Linda) and Lanie Fieseler (Edward); four grandchildren – Elizabeth Robinson (Isaac), Clayton Stalnaker (Lauren), Colleen Stalnaker (Josh) and Ed Fieseler; three great-grandchildren – Gabriel Robinson, Adelynn Stegmann, and Rosalee Stalnaker.
Bill was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Strategy with those dear friends. He also looked forward to family visits and playing games with his children. Being an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, most of his activities were structured around baseball games.
Almost 40 years ago, he retired from American Can Company where he worked for 33 years, ending his career as a mechanical supervisor. After retirement he traveled with his wife to the Holy Land, multiple trips to Europe, Canada, several cruises, and many trips visiting relatives and every state but one.
Although Bill was not required to answer the draft in World War II, all his brothers had already been drafted, he chose to serve. He was stationed in the Philippines until the end of the war and then was immediately moved to Korea where he stayed for another year.
While we are proud of his accomplishments, we are most blessed knowing that he is reunited with his wife awaiting family and friends he left behind.
Memorial contributions in Billy’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
