Billy L. McKinney

Billy L. McKinney, of Wentzville, Missouri, died on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the age of 75. Loving husband of Joan McKinney (nee: Bolte); dear son of the late Chester W. and Francis Schewe; devoted father of Vickie (Craig) Rothmeyer, Christine Krehbiel, and the late Timothy McKinney; cherished grandfather of Tami (Stephen) Hessling, Kari (Marcelo) Standerfer, Cameron Rothmeyer, Nicole Rothmeyer, and Natalie Rothmeyer; treasured great-grandfather of Aubrey Hessling, Kayden Hessling, and Elizabeth Standerfer; dear brother of Wayne (Joyce) McKinney and Margaret (Jess) Wilkinson. He was also a loving uncle and friend to many.
Billy was a Senior Cost Estimator at McDonnell Douglas for 34 years before he retired. He also proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps July 1958-July 1964, a Command Sergeant Major in the Missouri Army National Guard January 1976-January 1994, and a Sergeant Major in the US Army Retired Reserves January 1994-April 1997. He continued to work at Schneiders True Value in St. Peters. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Billy to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Disabled Veterans, or the St. Louis Zoo.
