Bland P. Carter, age 95, of St. Louis, Missouri, December 12, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Doris Carter; cherished son of the late Bland and Elizabeth Carter; devoted father of Jean Carter; and loving grandfather of Robert Sturm.
Bland proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and was a civil engineer for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed building model ships, and traveling with his wife after retirement. Most of all, Bland enjoyed spending time with his family. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
