Bonita Strake

Bonita Christine Strake (nee Brockgreitens), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late James Strake; cherished daughter of the late Louis and Edna Brockgreitens; devoted mother of Matthew (Jill Brown) Strake; loving grandmother of Tanner Brown; dear sister of Craig Louis (Gale Ann) Brockgreitens and Lisa Brockgreitens; treasured aunt of Christina, Daniel, Melissa, Nathaniel and Jessica. 

Bonita Strake, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Bonita had a passion for crocheting and quilting, creating beautiful blankets that will be treasured by her family for years to come. She found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was playing bingo, diving into a romance novel, or watching crime dramas and Westerns on TV. 

Above all, Bonita adored her family, especially her cherished grandson, who was the light of her life. She loved spending time with her loved ones, creating memories filled with laughter and warmth. Her home was never without the love and companionship of a beloved pet, as she always had an animal by her side to share her days. 

Bonita’s kindness, creativity, and love for those around her made her a beloved figure in the lives of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered. 

She is survived by her family, who will continue to honor her legacy of love, care, and creativity. 

Memorials may be made in Bonita's name to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Lupus Foundation of America.
