Brenda Lancaster

Brenda Sue Lancaster (nee Dawson), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the age of 81. Brenda leaves behind a rich legacy of kindness, generosity, and love that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Loving wife of the late first husband, David Hawkins and second husband, Jay Frank Lancaster; beloved daughter of the late James and Gaynell Dawson; devoted mother of Janice (Ed) Aholt and Stephen Hawkins; cherished grandmother of Christopher (Heather) Aholt, Nicholas Aholt, and Joshua Aholt; treasured great-grandmother of Jonah and Samuel Aholt; dear sister of Jimmy, Michael, and Kenneth Dawson, and Becky Brown. Preceded in death by her brother, Bob.

Brenda dedicated over 30 years of her life to Boeing, where she showcased unwavering dedication and commitment. Her hard work and passion for her career were truly remarkable.

A graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Lindenwood University, Brenda valued education and believed in the power of knowledge.

Described as a caring individual who always put others first, Brenda had a heart of gold. Her infectious smile and willingness to lend a helping hand endeared her to many. Whether it was providing food, clothes, or simply being there for support, Brenda was known for her selflessness.

In her free time, Brenda found joy in traveling and reading - her collection of books numbering in the hundreds reflected her love for literature. She also enjoyed shopping and collecting items that held sentimental value to her. Attending NASCAR races brought her excitement and thrill.

Family was at the center of Brenda's world. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she showered her loved ones with affection and care. Christmas held a special place in her heart, where she went above and beyond to make the holiday season magical for her family.

Brenda Lancaster will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched with her compassion and warmth. May she rest in peace.
