Brian was born September 6, 1963 in Pasadena, CA, the son of Ferdinand and Herma Becker. He was welcomed into God’s family through the waters of baptism on September 22, 1963 at First Lutheran Church, Pasadena, CA. He attended Lutheran High School in La Verne, CA followed by Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL where he met his wife, Linda. He married Linda Moser on June 20, 1987. Brian and Linda first worked and lived in Tucson, AZ for 16 years where both of their daughters were born. They moved to St. Peters, MO in 2001.
Brian had a BIG HEART for his God, his church, his family, and his friends. He was actively involved in his churches in many ways. This included teaching Sunday School, being a part of the Congregational Leadership Team, teaching Financial Peace University, volunteering his time to help with youth ministry, and teaming with Linda to build VBS sets. He might be best remembered for his stoic portrayal of a beefeater in the Boar’s Head Festival.
Brian worked at Boeing for 20 years as a Software Engineer Manager. He valued his friendships at work and felt that their work was important.
His hobbies included woodworking, playing games, jogging, and going for walks hand-in-hand with his wife. He was an avid sports lover who would always cheer for the home team, a few of his favorites being the Lakers, UCLA, University of Arizona Wildcats, and the Cardinals. His favorite place was sitting on the back deck enjoying the sights and sounds of the yard.
Dear to his heart were his family and friends. He constantly radiated support and love to his wife, his girls, his siblings, and anyone he met. Those who knew him best were changed through his Christ-like example of love and compassion.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda of St. Peters, MO; daughter Brittany of Lenexa, KS; daughter Jennifer Becker and husband Jason of North Olmsted, OH; sister Pam Brooskin and husband Steve of Woodland Hills, CA; and sister Diana Nicolaou and husband Nick of Glendora, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Herma Becker
