Brian Patrick Sheeley, 76, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2016, after a long illness. His loving wife Carol and their children were by his side, as well as his brothers and sisters and many other family members and friends. The fifth of nine children, Pat was born on December 18, 1939, in Kansas City, MO, to Michael and Anna (Glynn) Sheeley. Pat and his family have made their home in St. Louis since 1977.
Pat is survived by his dear wife of 58 years, Carol (Bowman) Sheeley and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren: Son Mike and Chrissy Sheeley, parents of Heather and Jeremy Hildebrand (Jeremy, Annabelle, Abigail); Mike and Michelle Sheeley (Mikey and Lydia); and Jennifer and Al Waters (Joey, Marc, Sophia); daughter Kelly Sheeley, mother of Stephanie and Matt Traw (Micayla, Mason) and Sal and Molly Ingargiola ( Mary, Enzo, and Cora) and daughter Kim Murphy, mother of Elora, James, and Brenna.
In 1996, after 18 years, Pat retired as General Manager of the St. Louis Railroad Association. He spent time being active in his church and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. His other favorite ways of spending time were playing golf and entertaining his grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Rich and Lawrence. He will be sorely missed, not only by his immediate family, but by his surviving brothers and sisters: Tom, Dianne, Jim, John, Maurine, and Margaret, and their spouses, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
