Brigida McHargue

McHargue, Brigida (nee Schillizzi), born July 20, 1923 in Saint Louis, MO, fortified with the sacrament of Holy Mother Church Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the age of 94. Loving wife of over 71 years to the late James Phillips McHargue; Beloved daughter of the late Saverio and Rosaria Schillizzi; devoted mother of James (Linda) McHargue, John (Donna) McHargue, Patricia (Dr. Thomas) Hanley, and Kevin (Mary Beth) McHargue; cherished grandmother of James (Meilin) McHargue, Amy (John) Bachhuber, John (Stacy) McHargue, Traci Wile, Scott Wile, Colleen (Scot) Schimweg, Thomas Hanley III, Matthew McHargue (Victoria) Hanley, Timothy (Tiffany) Hanley, Patrick (Lindsay) McHargue, Jennifer (Pete) Mahoney, Kristin McHargue, Erin McHargue, and William McHargue; treasured great-grandmother of Courtney Brigida McHargue, J. P. McHargue, Jack Bachhuber, Charlie Bachhuber, Allison Schimweg, Logan Schimweg, Hazel McHargue, and Violet McHargue. Beloved niece of Mary Moceri; Dearest aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her loving sister, Stella Guccione.

Brigida was proud of and enjoyed her Sicilian heritage. She was an example to all in her ability to overcome many years of physical pain and limitations. Brigida was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
