C. A. Jody Boschert

C. A. Jody Boschert, of Portage Des Sioux, Missouri, died on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the age of 84. Beloved son of the late Joseph Boschert and Wilhelmina Boschert-Le Claire; devoted father of Charlotte (John) Bryant, Joseph Boschert, Rose (Dennis) Wilson, Martha (John) Sheahan, Donna (Jerome) Burns, Ginny (Val) Symonds, Jimmy Boschert, Linda Kavanagh, Charles Boschert, and Karl (Dian) Boschert; also survived by the mother of his children, Mary, and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Hermina, Karl, Henry, Marie, and John; and grandsons, Michael James, John Joseph, and Ryan Lee.

Jody proudly served his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 4219, the American Legion Post 319, and the Local 660. Jody enjoyed traveling, especially his Veterans trip to Washington, DC. He liked to play poker, enjoyed horse races, working on puzzles, and as an accomplished gardener, he loved working in his yard. Jody was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
