Calvin James Spurlock

Calvin James Spurlock, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the age of 4. Loved son of Haley Marie Perez (Mark) and James Raye Spurlock; cherished grandson of Kim and Jeff Perez, Janet and Larry Bond; beloved nephew, cousin, friend; and is also survived by his furry friend and “sister,” Athena.

Calvin was energetic, smart, and loved by all—a fearless boy with a heart that was always ready for the next adventure; whether it was jumping in the waves as they rolled into the beaches of Saint Thomas, or riding his bike around the neighborhood. Soccer Shots brought Calvin so much joy. He was always cheering his buddies on, reminding them that “they can do it,” by screaming both their first, and last name. He was a friend to all and left a mark on the heart of everyone he met. To know him was to love him. Calvin never passed up a mommy-son date to Panera on a Friday morning, a bowl of Queso (and a chip or two) at El Mezon to celebrate his good behavior at school that day, or snuggling up with mommy and daddy while watching Secret Life of Pets.

Calvin had a larger-than-life personality, a love for animals, and a fascination with motorcycles, monster trucks, and excavators. His dream of becoming a mailman, was only one of the many things that made him so special. His enthusiasm for life was truly contagious. Calvin enjoyed music, dancing, and showing off his latest spidey move, which he did all of during his most recent “bubble party.”

Though his time here was far too short, Calvin experienced more in his 4 ½ years than most adults will in a lifetime. And without a doubt, Heaven is the most beautiful place he has ever seen or experienced. Calvin is loved beyond words and will be deeply missed by all who crossed paths with him.
